Late Again
Lay around, wasting hours, taking baths instead of showers. I shaved my legs, and washed my face, perfumed my neck, put on my finest lace; And you were late again. You said you'd call, but its half past ten, and I'm never gonna, never gonna win. I should go drinkin, spend the night with Jose Quervo, turn the lights down real low, and take my time. Let it burn, cause I know in time that the tables will turn. I smoked another cigarette, but don't let this one burn my fingers, when will I ever learn. The smoke ring only lingers for a little while. Chorus When you get home, you'll find me gone. Did you get the news late, that I'm moving on? Cause life's too short to wait on you. It's just a quarter inch door to finding someone new. Cause my legs go on for days, and my heart is true, and I'm never gonna wait around on you. Chorus
